Lisa and Roey, who is the music production supervisor for The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien, married on January 31, 2009. This is their first child.
The 26-year-old German model who allegedly tried to extort $100,000 from Cindy Crawford has turned himself in to the cops. Edis Kayalar who has been charged with one count extortion, walked into a police station in Germany yesterday. As previously reported, Kayalar was threatening to sell a photo of Cindy’s daughter which showed her bound to a chair and gagged. Kayalar faces two years in jail. He’ll appear before a judge later today.
They may look like the model family, but Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber are facing a not-so-perfect problem. According to court papers, the former supermodel and her entrepreneur husband were the victims of an extortion plot involving a controversial picture of the couple’s 8-year-old daughter, Kaya, taken by a former nanny. According to a rep for the family, the photo was taken without Cindy’s consent. A friend of the child’s former caretaker, Edis “Eddie” Kayala, has been charged with one count of extortion after he demanded $100,000 from the parents. “Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter,” the rep adds. The couple also has a 10-year-old son.
