Amanda Overmeyer on AI - What The Hell Happened?
I watched American Idol ladies last night and once again it sucked thanks to Amanda Overmeyer. What was she thinking with the skunked out hair and the so-called dance moves or spasms she displayed last night? I didn't get it at all and she was one of the more genuine artists - so I thought, in the beginning.
Brook White (she's got some big chicklets) sang Carly Simon's song, "You're So Lame" I mean "Vain" while strumming her git-tar! The judges loved it, even Simon but honestly, I used make fun of that song in the 70's so she would have had to pull a magic trick or something to get me interested in her performance. I thought it was weak. Where are the "Jennifer Hudson's" in the ladies competition?

Prince Harry's In Afghanistan Fighting

OK so, Prince Harry has been in Afghanistan fighting since mid-December on a secret tour. WOW - he's been on the front lines as a second lieutenant battling it out with his unit, the Household Cavalry's Blues and Royals. I'm impressed honestly, that's risky.
"His conduct on operations in Afghanistan has been exemplary," said the head of the army, General Sir Richard Dannatt. "He has been fully involved in operations and has run the same risks as everyone else in his battle group."

Oscars Say 'Sorry' To Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg was visibly upset on 'The View' yesterday after being left out by the Oscars during their montage to all of the celebrities who had hosted the event. The producers are saying that it was "an absolute oversight." Mmmm Hmmm.
"No harm was intended, and I feel very, very badly that she was left out," Gil Cates said Tuesday. "I'm going to call her and tell her that."
I can understand if Whoopi had only hosted once, and if she wasn't the first black woman to ever host, and if she wasn't the only Oscar winner also to host. That I could understand if it was just an "oversight". But that is not the case here. Whoopi made history by hosting and it just seems like they would have gone the extra mile to make sure she was honored properly.

Ladies In Red At the Oscars

The color red (my personal fav) seems to be the theme for a lot of the female celebrities at the Oscars this evening. Heidi Klum, Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus made that known on the red carpet.
Which dress do you like the best? I have to go with Heidi's - I mean, she's working that thing out!!!

Britney Spends Three Hours With Her Boys
Britney Spears was able to spend time with her boys, finally and I'm sure they were ecstatic! It was Brit-Brit's Dad, Jamie who really made this happen and I'm liking him more and more everyday!
The boys left Federline's Tarzana house Saturday morning – put in their car
seats by their father, according to photographers – and were driven by
Federline's bodyguard to Spears's Studio City home. A source involved in the
case says, "The real hero was [Spears's father] Jamie. He has taken charge, and
she has visitation again." Sources confirm to PEOPLE that Jamie and Britney's
psychiatrist were present for the visit. After a three-hour stay, Spears's sons
left again in the back of Federline's grey Dodge truck driven by his bodyguard.

Asthon Kutcher's Hepatitis Birthday
Nothing says 'Happy Birthday' like Hepatitis A and B vaccinations which is exactly what Ashton is getting as a gift on his 30th - and so will his guests. Guests like Gwyneth Paltrow, Salma Hayek, of course Demi Moore, Lucy Liu, Rebecca Gayheart, and Eric Dane will all have to get their shots just for attending the bash held at West Greenwich Village spot Socialista because the staff and product have been contaminated.
Owners of the restaurant have released an official statement, complete with requests to vaccinate from the New York City Department of Health for both its famous and pedestrian clientele.
“Although no additional cases of illness have been identified, the New York City Department of Health is urging customers to get the vaccination as a precautionary measure. We are grateful for their efforts and we will continue to support them in every way possible," said owner and former Bungalow 8 doorman Armin Amiri.
I want to say a bad joke about Pamela Anderson possibly being the bartender at this par-tay, but thought it might be in bad taste so I'll leave that alone.

American Idol Ladies - Highs and Lows

American Idol ladies took the stage last night and once again I wasn't blown away. Yes, I understand that some were fighting the flu (Kristy Lee Cook) but, there were SoMe that weren't and still sucked!
Asia'h, Amanda and Syesha (my fav so far) did well but there was no mercy for Kristy unfortunately from the judges.
What may have ruined if for me is the fact that a lot of these contestants are NoT raw talent or undiscovered like we've discussed on here in my previous post. So, I have a little bit of an attitude towards this season. Aside from that the voices haven't blown me out of the water like I thought. It's still early yet...so we shall see.

Hayden Panettiere is now using her celebrity to promote Candie's clothing line for girls spring collection 2008, and man does she look AwEsOmE in these pics! She took these shots in NYC and oddly enough it was at Serendipity 3 "which has since been closed down by the Department of Health after failing its second health inspection in a month."

Beyonce' Gets Some Coaching From Etta James

Beyonce' is taking on the role as the 'At Last' singer, Etta James in the movie 'Cadillac Records' and will be receiving some coaching. That's right, Etta will be personally coaching and assisting the Miss B in how to play her as a 'Naughty Girl'.
According to PageSix this is how it will all go down.
"It's a privilege and an honor to have somebody like that girl. I don't think she looks like me, but that's all right. They can fix that up," Etta tells us.And appearance isn't all Beyoncé will have to work on.
"Oh my god, she's going to have a hill to climb, because Etta James ain't been no angel!" she says.
Producers have informed Etta that she'll get the chance to consult with the 26-year-old Destiny's Child star, giving her pointers on both the acting and the singing — the latter being something the "At Last" singer was most concerned with when she got wind of the casting.
Of her many hits, Etta feels, "I have my own way of putting those songs over, and I was just wondering if Beyoncé could, and my son said, 'They're thinking about how she looks, but mama, she can really sing!'"
It was the Dreamgirls star's performance at the Grammys earlier this month that won Etta over, when Jay-Z's main squeeze rocked "Proud Mary" with Tina Turner.
"I kinda have a man's voice. It's a contralto, more bluesy, religious. I would really like to work with her on that," the 70-year-old songstress says.
Of her life lessons, Etta, who battled heroin addiction for many years, says, "I can tell Beyoncé some things; some of the things I might not tell her."
She does stress that the emotional transformation Beyoncé must undergo will have to be a little intense.
"I wasn't as bourgie as she is, she's bourgeois. She knows how to be a lady, she's like a model. I wasn't like that... I smoked in the bathroom in school, I was kinda arrogant, so those are some of the things I would want to tell her."
The flick will co-star Adrien Brody (reportedly replacing Matt Damon) in the role of music exec Leonard Chess, as well as Cedric the Entertainer and Jeffrey Wright.
The meeting between the divas will be happening soon, as sources tell us filming is scheduled to start on March 10 in New Jersey, with two days on location in Mississippi.

We've got Paula Abdul's new video, 'Dance Like There's No Tomorrow' here and I actually LiKe it!!! She was one of my idols back in the day and I see that same flare in her at certain points in the video. Maybe she shouldn't do live performances (Super Bowl - remember?) because she looks great here.
But enough about what I think - check it out and let me know if you liked it!

Pink Speaks Out On Divorce To Carey Hart

Pink wants to make it very clear that she and soon to be ex husband Carey Hart are still best friends. Divorce is not a field trip so its cool that they're playing nice - gotta admire that. This is what she had to say about their breakup,
Hi everybody.I wanted to reach out personally to all my fans/friends out there in the world. First and foremost, thank-you for all of your support and love, it means a lot to me right now. The most important thing for you all to know, is that Carey and I love each other so so much. This break up is not about cheating, anger, or fighting. I know it sounds like cliche bulls***, but we are best friends, and we will continue to be. All I know at this point, i
