The 26-year-old German model who allegedly tried to extort $100,000 from Cindy Crawford has turned himself in to the cops. Edis Kayalar who has been charged with one count extortion, walked into a police station in Germany yesterday. As previously reported, Kayalar was threatening to sell a photo of Cindy’s daughter which showed her bound to a chair and gagged. Kayalar faces two years in jail. He’ll appear before a judge later today.

They may look like the model family, but Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber are facing a not-so-perfect problem. According to court papers, the former supermodel and her entrepreneur husband were the victims of an extortion plot involving a controversial picture of the couple’s 8-year-old daughter, Kaya, taken by a former nanny. According to a rep for the family, the photo was taken without Cindy’s consent. A friend of the child’s former caretaker, Edis “Eddie” Kayala, has been charged with one count of extortion after he demanded $100,000 from the parents. “Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter,” the rep adds. The couple also has a 10-year-old son.

Threes Company actress, Joyce Dewitt has been formally charged with a DUI. on July 4th.  Dewitt was arrested in El Segundo, CA after police officers witnessed the actress drive past a barricade that was put up to keep away traffic.

Lindsay Lohan’s Hollywood Hills home was broken into early Sunday morning, her rep confirms “Many of her personal belongings were taken without remorse,” the rep says. “Lindsay and her sister Ali Lohan were fortunate that they weren’t in the home when this incident happened.” The rep said Lindsay’s home has a surveillance system and “police are in custody of the footage.” Her father Michael calls the burglary an “inside job” in an interview with RadarOnline.com.

Ryan Alexander Jenkins, 32, who appeared on VH1 reality shows Megan Wants a Millionaire is wanted for questioning after the nude body of his ex wife, Jasmine Fiore, 28, was found stuffed into a suitcase in a Buena Park, Calif. trash bin over the weekend.

Michael Douglas has broken his silence about his son Cameron’s recent arrest on drug dealing charges. According to a statement from Michael’s rep: “The family is devastated and very disappointed in Cameron’s recent behavior. Any family who has dealt with substance abuse knows how devastating it can be.” Cameron, who was caught with methamphetamines, is currently behind bars at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, after violating the terms of his home detention by allegedly asking his girlfriend to smuggle heroin to him inside his mother Diandra’s NYC apartment. A preliminary hearing is set for September 10. If convicted, Cameron faces a minimum of 10 years in prison.

Ghalib allegedly drove away without stopping.  Ghalib was issued with three felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run and battery, all worth up to seven years in prison if convicted on Tuesday. The charges include special allegations: use of a deadly weapon, a car, and great bodily injury. Prosecutors are asking bail be set at $110,000.

Starting off the list of is Rob Lowe. This celeb was one of the first have a sex tape leaked to the press.  During the 1988 Democratic convention in Atlanta, Rob Lowe picked up two gals, ages 22 and 16 at a club, invited them back to his hotel, and videotaped the romp. Next on the list of celebrity scandals is Seinfeld’s Michael Richards and his Racist Rant. When Michael Richards took the stage at L.A.’s Laugh Factory on Nov. 17, 2006, the audience was probably hoping for Kramer-ish pratfalls and plentiful arm-flailing. What they got instead was a racist tirade directed at a group of African-American hecklers. Thanks to a cell-phone camera, the tirade immediately hit the Web, earning the celeb nationwide criticism. Three days later, Richards appeared via satellite on David Letterman’s show, apologizing and pledging to seek help.

Another of the history making celebrity scandals was when the Milli Vanilli lip-synch lie was exposed. This celeb twosome were caught for the unspeakable. Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan a.k.a. Milli Vanilli were stripped of the award after producer Frank Farian revealed that the two men were professional lip-synchers who hadn’t sung one note on their chart-topping debut album. Apparently, 11 million fans can be wrong.

A recent celebrity scandal that makes the list is because of ex- Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington. Just when you thought the drama on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy couldn’t get more overwrought, it did behind the scenes. It began with an October 2006 altercation between Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey in which the former allegedly referred to gay costar T.R. Knight as a faggot. The incident was close to fading from public memory until Washington dropped the f-bomb again (as part of a denial) in front of reporters at the Golden Globes in January.

Rounding out the list of celebrity scandal was the infamous Super bowl half time show involving celeb singers Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake. Feb. 1, 2004, halftime show when celeb, Justin Timberlake tore off part of duet partner Janet Jackson’s leather bodice, revealing a nipple-shield-adorned boob. With nearly 90 million people watching, many of them children this became one of the ultimate celebrity scandals.
