John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston have established a foundation in honor of their late son Jett. The Jett Travolta Foundation will work to “assist and provide relief to children with vision, hearing, mobility, communication, behavioral learning impairments or other special medical, environmental, health or education needs,” according to a statement on Travolta’s official Web site.
Jett died suddenly of a seizure disorder Jan. 2 at the Travolta’s vacation home in the Bahamas. He was 16. “Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered,” the Travolta family said in statement after his death. “We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives.”
