Miley Cyrus is best known for her role in ‘Hannah Montana’, the series aired on Disney Channel that soon made her a teenage icon. Riding high on the success of the TV series Miley Cyrus released a CD that included eight songs she’d sung on the show. Her debut album was titled ‘Meet Miley Cyrus’ and it was released in 2007. Her second one was called ‘Breakout’ and both these albums had their tryst with the number #1 position on the Billboard 200.
Miley Cyrus has also made quite a name for her in movies with her role in ‘Bolt’ and the motion picture ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’. Both were well received and made quite an impact at the Box Office. She was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her soundtrack ‘I thought I lost you’ for the movie ‘Bolt’. In 2008, she was also ranked 35 in the Forbes list of ‘The Celebrity 100’.
Miley Cyrus has also written an autobiography with Hilary Liftin titled ‘Miles to Go’ which was published by Disney-Hyperion Books this year in March. It soon made it to the number one position on the New York Times list of ‘Children’s Best Sellers’.
Miley Cyrus was involved in a controversy too, when she did a topless photo-shoot for the magazine ‘Vanity Fair’. The pics were clicked by Annie Leibovitz, and showed Miley with a bare back and the front covered with a bed sheet.
