Reese Witherspoon was born in New Orleans and raised in Nashville. She showed promise early in life becoming an advertisement model at seven and winning a state fair talent contest at eleven.
Although Reese Witherspoon started appearing in movies since 1990, she only gained international acclaim with her role in “Legally Blonde” in 2001. Since then Reese Witherspoon has received worldwide acclaim and won seventeen major awards, including an Oscar, for her role in “Walk the Line”. Reese involves herself in many charitable causes including the Avon Foundation, the Children’s Defense Fund and Save the Children.
Reese Witherspoon has two children with ex husband Ryan Phillippe. She has recently turned down a racy script due to the fact that she wishes her daughter to only see her play honorable, strong women. Reese Witherspoon will be releasing her first fragrance called “In Bloom” in the fall. Recent pictures show her not to be as demure as she was but rather coming more into her own the older she gets. She is currently dating Jake Gyllenhaal.
